The other day, I posted about a different Texas incident: A refinery spewing benzene. When I first heard about this new explosion, I wondered if they were expanding on the same story.
Nope. This is a brand spankin' new disaster.
Talk about adding insult to injury, now the industry is getting even more bad press. It's one disaster after another. See how safe and environmentally conscious they are?
3 people have been killed and 10 others are missing due to an oil explosion in Johnson County, Texas. According to CNN, people in the vicinity said the noise of the natural pipe line explosion was so powerful, it could be heard rumbling for 10 long minutes.
At least ten people are missing.
Can we start investing more heavily in clean energy now? Please? 'Kthanksbye.
UPDATE: I changed the blog title to reflect the news that this is a gas explosion (see link above), not oil.
